Summary
Commercial Diving Academy offers training in a highly competitive industry. Their old web site and collateral materials were outdated and failed to reflect the qualities and prestige of the school.

Client: Exelon Energy
Summary
As part of its public outreach and education efforts, Exelon wished to install an interactive exhibit at the public library in Byron, Illinois. Exelon contracted with Third Wave to design, build and install this exhibit.
Project Manager
- Made initial contact with client and crafted successful proposal to deliver exhibit featuring two interactive presentations and multiple graphic displays
- Developed budget for overall project
- Acted as primary client liaison
- Located vendors and negotiated contracts to provide component pieces of the exhibit as well as final assembly within the project budget
- Purchased electronic hardware (computers/touch screens) for exhibits
- Installed presentations, drivers and associated utilities prior to delivery to fabricator
3D Design
- Created 3D conceptual models of exhibit
- Refined models based on client feedback and budget limits
- Provided these models to the fabricator for use in the construction process
Graphic Design
Performed design and layout of six poser-sized panels used in the exhibit.
Client: RJ Reynolds
Summary
RJ Reynolds wished to explore new ways communicating with its employees via its existing intranet. Current hard-copy print strategies were perceived as ineffective and "old school."
Project Manager
- Acted as primary client liaison
- Responsible for initial planning and conceptualization of monthly Flash®-based newsletter
- Supervised the development of original prototype; defined key points of functionality and oversaw efforts of design and coding team in implementing that functionality
- Met regularly with client at corporate headquarters to review and plan for future newsletters
Producer
- Produced rich media content (embedded video and audio) on monthly basis
- Traveled throughout Southeast to shoot on-location footage for use in newsletter
- Wrote and edited scripts for embedded video elements
- Reviewed each edition of newsletter for proper functionality and quality control
- Supervised handoff of required files to RJ Reynlds IT support personnel for hosting on their internal server

Client: Sheetz, Inc
Summary
Within a year of leaving RJ Reynolds to take a position at Sheetz, our principal liaison requested our services in a variety of projects related to both internal and external communications. Three examples follow:
Project Manager
- Planned and conceptualized multi-media, Flash® based presentation designed to introduce Sheetz employees to the company’s new “Feel the Love” campaign. Feel the Love
- Planned and conceptualized two web sites aimed at building grass roots support for the sale of alcoholic beverages in convenience stores in Pennsylvania.
- Structured sites’ content and organization
- Oversaw design and implementation of sites
- Worked with outside vendors to ensure seamless integration of third party tool sets
- Composited animated masthead banner
- Sites viewable at www.freemybeer.com and www.sixpacktogo.org
- Oversaw ad creation for a online marketing campaign. This complex project required the creation of over 30 discreet ads with different messages, functionality and technical requirements. Project success depended on systematic planning to coordinate the efforts of the many agencies involved including Sheetz’s Advertising Division, its marketing agency, media buyer and ad serving company as well as our own design and code team.
